Joline, a failed playwright, is driving to New York City from Iowa with a trunk-load of plastic explosives. She is intent on blowing up the publishing company building, which refuses to publish her works.

Along the way she picks up four passengers, each with a unique story. Then slowly Joline realizes that these people have more in common than she first thought

Bend was originally a play written by Mark Frank, then was adapted for the screen in the winter of 2005

It premiered in the Spencer Rounds Theatre on May 10th 2005
